Santa Rosa, CA – NewTropic, a full-service cannabis manufacturing and supply chain solutions provider, today announced the launch of their hash manufacturing services including a partnership with Biscotti Brands, the Oakland-based hash company that is the California market leader.
Biscotti joins other premier brands such as Old Pal, Stone Road, and Aster Farms that partner with NewTropic to produce high-quality cannabis flower, pre-rolls, and concentrates — including hash. Located just south of the famous Emerald Triangle cannabis growing region, NewTropic will expand its operational footprint in 2021 with the addition of a new 22,000-square-foot facility in Cotati focused largely on manufacturing hash products using a centuries-old method of ice-water solventless extraction. When complete next year, NewTropic will be the single largest producer of hash in California and will create products as various as pressed hash, loose hash, pre-rolls, and rosin for Biscotti as well as their affordably priced Tutti brand.

Rooted in Italian craftsmanship, Biscotti handcrafts premium hash products that merge tradition and technology, while staying true to its heritage. First documented in the 11th century in Persia, hash didn’t make its way to Europe until the 17th century with the introduction of tobacco. Opening its doors in January 2020, NewTropic has grown quickly, adding several new facilities this year and hiring over 100 employees since the year began.
